The Mission of the Ecology Department is to use science-based decision making to protect, manage, and restore natural resources to benefit the Stockbridge-Munsee Community.

The Ecology Department works with both the Forestry Committee and Fish & Wildlife Board to ensure the community is informed about projects and has an opportunity to comment on potential projects.  We also work with the tribal core planning committee and have daily communications with Forestry, Lands, and the Conservation Departments, as well as weekly or monthly meetings with the tribal legal department and others as needed.
