On Monday, May 19, 2008 the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council held a Special Tribal Council Meeting and at that time the following motions were made and carried.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve the Special Tribal Council Meeting of Monday, May 19, 2008 at 8:30 AM as presented and changed.

Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried.

STOCKBRIDGE-CEMETARY REQUEST-

No action, will be brought if needed.

CELL TOWER LEASE-Bridget Swanker/Julie Carroll

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve resolution 034-08 which is a cell tower lease the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe whereas that the Tribal Council is willing to lease tribal trust land to another party help achieve this goal of cellular telephone service on the Reservation; and Wisconsin RSA #4, which is doing business as Cellcom, is interested in entering into a lease arrangement with the Tribe in order to lease land for the purpose of constructing, installing, maintaining, and operating a telecommunications tower or other facility and related equipment in conjunction with Cellcom’s wireless telecommunications business; and the Tribal Council wishes to enter into a such lease with Cellcom, and now therefore be it resolved that Tribal Council hereby authorizes the Tribal President to execute the Real Property Option and Lease Agreement with the Wisconsin RSA #4, which is doing business as Cellcom for President’s signature. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio.

BUDGET MODIFICATION REQUEST LP LOCK RATE-Linda Katchenago

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve the request to add monies out of Capitals into Mohican LP Gas which in essence approving the modification #01. Seconded by Shannon Holsey.

Roll Call: Terrie yes, Sterling no, Shannon yes, Scott no and Chairman votes yes. Motion carried.

SELECTION OF (1) REPATRIATION COMMITTEE MEMBER-

Motion by Scott R. Vele to appoint Lorraine Welch to the repatriation committee. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

SELECTION OF (1) LANGUAGE AND CULUTURE COMMITTEE MEMBER-

Motion by Scott R. Vele to appoint Jeremy Mohawk to the language and culture committee. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrie. Motion carried.

RFP LOW VOLTAGE CABLING-Bridget Swanke

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve the request proposal for the low voltage cabling for the new North Star Casino project as reviewed and prepared by the Legal Department. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber. Motion carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSION-

Motion by Scott R. Vele to go into executive session. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber. Motion carried at 9:37 AM.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to come out of executive session. Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried at 10:15 AM.

While in executive session discussion took place on a consultant contract agreement, third party inspection and an extension inspections services agreement.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to deny the request to hire a consultant for the LP Gas Company at this time. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber. Motion carried.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to authorize legal to renew and extend the Vierbicher and Associates as discussed in executive. Seconded Shannon Holsey.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS: Mohican LP Gas Manager and LP Lead Driver-John Miller

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve the Mohican LP Gas Company’s Lead Driver’s revised position description as presented by the Tribal Administrator and the Human Resources Director. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber.

Motion maker amends motion to add: LP Lead Driver/Manger. Second concurs.

Motion maker amends motion to add: Shall manage and supervise LP Gas Company and employee and add at the end of general responsibilities shall manage and add directly supervise all of Mohican LP Gas Company staff being responsible for conducting personnel functions such as personnel disputes, coordinating training duties, interviewing and signing timesheets. Second concurs. Motion carried.
