Tribal Council Directives

On Wednesday, October 3, 2007, the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council held a Special Tribal Council Meeting and at that time the following motions were made and carried:

APPROVAL OF AGENDA-

Add: New Lift Station Design and Surveillance and Security Design Consultant Letters

Motion by Wallace A. Miller to approve the agenda with the two additional contract issues. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

CASINO CAPITAL BUDGET REQUESTS-Michael Olujic & Rich Hinrichs

Motion by Wallace A. Miller to approve the capital expenditure for new slot machines, slot radios, HP 5500 Plotter and a used shuttle bus. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

SURVEILLANCE & SECURITY DESIGN CONSULTANT LETTER-

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve drafting a contract M. Malia Associates for the Surveillance and Security System with reimbursables capped. Seconded by Jolene Bowman.

Motion maker amends motion to include: for President’s signature. Second concurs. Motion carried.

NEW LIFT STATION DESIGN LETTER-

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve the Lift Station Design contract, for drawing up for Chairman’s signature, and also that a line item be added in the owner’s budget for this purpose. Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried.

DIVISION OF COMMUNITY HOUSING-Randy, Lori, Bob and Dudley

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve the capital expenses for Housing for 2008 for the concrete slab and electric for the pole building, sewer line project for tribal contribution, the remodel of the front office and bathroom and the snowplow. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber.

Motion maker amends motion to include: remodel amount. Second concurs.

ELDERLY-Kristy Malone

Motion by Jolene Bowman to approve the capital budget request for FY2008 for a 15-20 passenger bus, a commercial lawn mower and a color copy machine with trade-in.

Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio.

Motion maker amends motion to include: the current bus will be transferred to the casino. Second concurs. Motion carried.

CONSERVATION-Joe and Beau Miller

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve the capital budget request for 2008 for Public Safety for the color copy machine with trade-in for Environmental and Conservation and the mid-size extended cab 4x4 truck for Conservation. Seconded by Shannon Holsey.

Roll Call: Terrie yes, Jolene yes, Sterling no, Wally yes and Shannon yes. Motion carried.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER-Linda Katchenago

Motion by Jolene Bowman to approve the capital budget request for 2008 for the Stockbridge-Munsee Health and Wellness Center for the commercial lawn mower.

Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

ROADS-Willy Miller

Motion by Jolene Bowman to approve the capital budget request for 2008 for Roads for a front end loader and a dump truck. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio.

Roll Call: Terrie yes, Jolene yes, Sterling yes, Wally abstain and Shan yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to reallocate for gravel projects to Roads out of the 2008 capital budget. Seconded by Jolene Bowman.

Roll Call: Terrie yes, Jolene yes, Sterling yes, Wally abstain and Shan yes.

Motion carried.

PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT-Jill Tiegs and Bill Terrio

Motion by Sterling Schreiber to approve the 2-bay addition to the east end for the fire trucks, 2 commercial lawn mowers and money allocated for the Willard Putnam Park Development. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

PINE HILLS-Linda Katchenago

Motion by Jolene Bowman to approve the capital budget request for FY2008 for Pine Hills to purchase a commercial dishwasher. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

TRIBAL COUNCIL-

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve Tribal Council multi-function copier/fax machine purchase out of the 2008 capital budget. Seconded by Shannon Holsey.

Motion maker amends to add: the current one will be sent to the finance department.

Second concurs. Motion carried.
