Motion by Scott R. Vele to have the Stockbridge-Munsee Roads Department immediately implement the proposed off-site parking plan for temporary gaming employee parking as outlined and presented by the casino management.

While in Executive Session discussion was held on a hiring recommendation and issues pertaining to a contract.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to offer the Lead Attorney position to the individual identified in Executive Session with the parameters discussed and outlined in Executive Session with the Human Resource Director. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve for the President’s signature resolution number 061-07, now therefore be it resolved that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the Tribal President or in his absence the Vice President or in the absence of the President and Vice President, the Tribal Treasurer to execute documents to directly purchase or rent or otherwise obtain materials and equipment for the construction of the new Mohican North Star Casino and Bingo facility, and be it further resolved that if required by the contract the Tribal Council hereby grants and approves a limited waiver of the Tribe’s sovereign immunity solely for the limited purpose of enforcement of these direct purchase contracts for construction materials and equipment of the new Mohican North Star Casino and Bingo facility, including the arbitration or resolution of the disputes and the enforcement of the terminations or awards against the Tribe. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.
