Tribal Council Directives

On Tuesday, April 2, 2007, the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council held a Regular Tribal Council Meeting and at that time the following motions were made and carried:

APPROVAL OF AGENDA-

Motion by Wallace A. Miller to approve the agenda. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

AID TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUND-

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to carry on and do the Aid to Local Government Fund this year. Seconded by Wallace A. Miller. Motion carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSION-

Motion by Scott R. Vele to go into Executive Session. Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried at 9:12 AM.

Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to go back into Regular Session. Seconded by Wallace A. Miller. Motion carried at 11:43 PM.

While in Executive Session discussion was held on a contract issue and an RFP issue.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to waive the normal posting and hiring practices of the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe due to the importance and the immediate need of the General Manager’s position at the North Star Casino and Bingo and because of the time frames involved. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to authorize the Stockbridge-Munsee President to the sign the contract with the proposed new casino General Manager of the North Star Casino and Bingo, as discussed in Executive Session. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to have Walsh Bishop and Alliance Partners draw up an RPF for a general contractor for Tribal Council’s review. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.
