On Tuesday, March 20, 2007, the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Council held a Regular Tribal Council Meeting and at that time the following motions were made and carried:

Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve the revised Regular Tribal Council agenda for Tuesday, March 20, 2007 as presented. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber. Motion carried.
WIEA DONATION REQUEST-Jolene Bowman
Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve a donation for WIEA. Seconded by Shannon Holsey.
Roll Call: Scott yes, Shannon yes, Sterling yes, Jolene abstains, and Terrie yes. Motion carried.
LAND USE CODE (Post for 30 days)-
Motion by Scott R. Vele to post Chapter 43, the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Law Mohican Land Use Code for comment. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber. Motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION-
Motion by Scott R. Vele to go into Executive Session. Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried at 5:05 PM.

DONATION REQUESTS:
Shawano Community High School Culture Club-Melonie Reopelle and Students
Motion by Scott R. Vele to donate monies to the Culture Club at the Shawano Community High School for their Friendship POW-WOW which is Friday, May 11, 2007.
Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.
Flowering Tree- Candace DesArmo Coury
Motion by Scott R. Vele to approve monies out of Donations for the Flowering Tree as requested by Candace DesArmo. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber.
Roll Call: Scott yes, Shannon yes, Sterling yes, Jolene yes and Terrie abstain. Motion carried.
CMN POW-WOW-Steve Smolich
Motion by Scott R. Vele to donate monies out of Donations for the request made by Steven Smolich for the College of Menominee Nation 4th Annual POW-WOW being held on April 20, 2007 at the Menominee Tribal School in Neopit from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Seconded by Jolene Bowman. Motion carried.

While in Executive Session discussion took place on several Legal Issues, an Elderly Hardship Issue and a Litigation Issue.

LAND MINUTES-Vicki Doxtator
Motion by Terrie K. Terrio to approve the land assignment as recommended by the Land Committee for Weston Miller. Seconded by Shannon Holsey. Motion carried.
Motion by Scott R. Vele to go along with the Land Committee’s recommendation that the entire land assignments be relinquished regards to home loan applicants instead just 1 acre which would allow for a smoother transition of the home incase of default on the loans. Seconded by Terrie K. Terrio. Motion carried.

Motion by Scott R. Vele to not renew the New York Coordinator’s position for lack of work effective March 31, 2007. Seconded by Sterling Schreiber.

Motion by Terrie K .Terrio to approve the Elderly Hardship as discussed in Executive Session and to direct the Housing Director and the Housing Commission to amend the Elderly Hardship Policy to incorporate inconsideration of life long lease residency agreements for enrolled members who are not owners of the homes they reside in.
Seconded by Shannon Holsey.
